Position Summary Description
 
DSCO requires one (1) Database Administrator, Level 3, to design databases to capture data for inventory management in support of NSP.  The work will require designing, creating and populating databases to analyze data and present it to stakeholders.  Tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Develop understanding of Technical Authority’s needs;
  • Create concept of operations documents for the database design;
  • Understand and interpret data from DRMIS for use in MS Access databases;
  • Create drafts and final version of detailed technical requirements document for the database design;
  • Design databases per the technical requirements;
  • Create, modify, and enhance new and existing databases, data interfaces, and graphical user interfaces per the technical requirements;
  • Understand, modify, and enhance existing databases, data interfaces, and graphical user interfaces with no existing requirements;
  • Understand and create requirements for existing databases with no existing requirements;
  • Convey the design and functionality of using, maintaining, and enhancing the databases modified, enhanced or created through the use of presentations and manual; and
  • Perform other database tasks, as required.

Requirements / experience (mandatories)
 
  • submit a detailed résumé for the proposed resource demonstrating that the resource meets the minimum mandatory relevant experience level for TBIPS resource category I.2 Database Administrator, Level 3.
Level 3: 10+ years of experience
  • clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource has a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in the field of Software Development from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the past ten (10) years, designing, creating and maintaining a relational database.
  • clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, in Structured Query Language (SQL) programming.
  • clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of three (3) years of experience, within the past eight (8) years, in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming.
  • clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of three (3) years of experience, within the past eight (8) years, in Microsoft (MS) Access macros programming.
  • clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of two (2) years of experience, within the past eight (8) years, preparing concept of operations and technical requirements for the creation of a relational database
  • clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of two (2) years of experience, within the past five (5) years, in MS Access Database architecture, table design, query design and report design
