Currently seeking an Intermediate Computer Application Support Consultant
Contract: 18 weeks
Position Summary Description
Our client requires support and assistance in services to employees encountering difficulties with the use of IT applications, products or services.  The Technician records, prioritizes, and resolves common problems over the phone.  Duties include: troubleshooting of desktop computers / Laptops, and associated standard and non-standard software; providing support to remote users (working from home or on travel status); providing support for wireless devices including Blackberries.  It is the responsibility of the technician to ensure that an effective solution is provided to the user.  The technician should be well versed in Windows, MS Office and Outlook 2003 and higher and knowledgeable of a call tracking system.
Project Tasks
Requirements / experience (mandatories)
  • Secondary school diploma is required
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or other relevant field from a recognized post-secondary institution is required
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience providing desktop computer support services specifically for PC or Macintosh computers is required
Asset Qualifications:
  • Current and valid certification in A+, MCP, or MCSE may be required
  • M1 - A minimum of two (2) years troubleshooting and solving complex end-user technical problems with Microsoft Windows desktop computers, laptops and wireless devices.
  • M2- A minimum of one (1) year of experience providing remote support to clients.
  • M3- A minimum of one (1) year of experience using a ticket tracking system to log, update and follow up on incidents and/or service requests.
