Position Summary Description
The IFIT program receives proposals through a Call for Proposals (CFP) process that is a fair, open, transparent and widely accepted business process whereby interested parties develop project proposals and apply for funding. 
Our client uses a two-part selection process to identify projects for funding consideration:
  • In Part 1, projects meeting the mandatory criteria will be assessed by a review panel against the program’s rated criteria. Following this process, a recommended short-list of highly ranked projects will advance to Part 2.
  • Applicants whose projects advance to Part 2 will be asked to submit additional information in order to remain under consideration for funding. This includes but is not limited to detailed technical information that will be used to support the risk assessments that will be conducted by the successful bidder under this RFP.
Project Tasks
Requirements / experience (mandatories)
  • submit detailed CV’s for the proposed resource, demonstrating that they meet the mandatory requirements
  • provide three (3) relevant and verifiable references
  • holds a valid security clearance at the level of Reliability
  • have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in the chemical, mechanical or environmental engineering or some other engineering or science specialty or A combination of relevant training in chemical, mechanical or environmental engineering and a minimum of three (3) years of experience
  • minimum of three (3) years of experience in technical reviews or risk assessments of projects
  • be fluent in both English and French.
  • Must have 10 years experience
  • Have a relevant professional certification
Assets(Rated Requirements)
  • has experience conducting detailed due diligence (technical, market and project risk) evaluations of funding proposals.  Preference will be given to experience in the forest sector. 
  • resource has experience conducting technical and market risk assessments (including, but not limited to: economic, political, operational, legal, reputation, organizational, accounting, banking, and social risks) of capital projects.  Preference will be given to experience in the forest sector. 
  • has experience preparing detailed technical reports in both English and French.  A technical writing sample in each language is required to assess this criterion
  • has experience with government funding programs in the natural resource sector or other industrial sector (i.e.: agriculture, construction, fisheries and manufacturing)
