Currently seeking a level 1 Help Desk Specialist
 
Contract: One year with 3 possible 1 year extensions
 
 
Position Summary Description
 
Our client must offer a continuous support of all applications and hardware across the NRC and may require additional resources to help out in various ITS Projects.
 
Project Tasks
 
Requirements / experience (mandatories)
 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience, within the last 5 years, using an Incident Resolution System to track and resolve problems reported by End-Users.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience, within the last 5 years, providing problem diagnosis and problem solving through telephone, remote access and on-site support
  • A minimum of 12 months installing Windows 7 on Workstations (or current OS)
  • A minimum of 12 months installing Office 2013 (or current OS)
  • A minimum of 12 months installing Outlook 2013 (or current OS)
  • A minimum of 12 months knowledge and experience in TCP/IP and Ethernet
  • A minimum of 12 months knowledge and experience in using remote application and Support tools
  • A minimum of 12 months installing and upgrading computer workstations including CPUs, memory, NICS, hard drives, etc.
  • A minimum of 12 months providing problem support  to users in a Microsoft Windows/                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Office environment
  • Must be bilingual (English essential)
Assets(Rated Requirements)
  • Experience, within the last 5 years, using an Incident Resolution System to track and resolve problems reported by end-users, over and above the minimum 1-year requirement of Mandatory Criteria M.1 of Section 2 (a) of this Appendix.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service of experience with each of the following Technologies:
 
  1. Windows 7/10
  2. Assyst Enterprise IT Service Management  Systems
  3. MS Office 13 Suite with Outlook 2013
  4. MS Exchange
  5. LAN and WAN environment
  6. Citrix XenApp
  7. Altiris Deployment Tool
 
  • An Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management Foundation Certification
