Currently seeking an Intermediate Communications (Social Media) Advisor
 
 
 
Our Government client is seeking an Intermediate Communications (Social Media) Advisor to assist in providing strategic advice on social media activities and best practices.
 
Contract:  44 weeks
 
 
Project Tasks:
 
  • Provide strategic advice on social media activities and best practices.
  • Perform research on social media activities and best practices.
  • Work with clients to determine priorities and obtain approvals.
  • Draft social media products and create editorial calendars for material intended for external audiences.
  • Publish, monitor and moderate social media posts and streams.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings and working groups involved in the implementation of various projects /initiatives, as required.
 
Requirements / experience (mandatories):
 
The applicant MUST demonstrate the following:
 
  • Degree from a recognized University OR a combination of a secondary school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the area of marketing, communications or social media.
  • Recent and varied experience planning or implementing social media campaigns, projects or activities
  • Specific experience in the following must be demonstrated:
  • Providing communications/marketing advice related to social media
  • Developing and implementing products/tactics for social media channels
  • Effective project management skills
 
"Varied" is normally defined as at least three different projects or campaigns.
“Recent” is understood to mean experience acquired in the past three years.
 
 
 

 
Security Clearance
MUST possess a valid Reliability level security clearance.
 
Language
MUST be bilingual in English and French
