Position Summary Description
 
Our client has a requirement for Junior Program Administrator to kick-off work outlined in the Disaster Recovery Management Program Methodology.
The DR Program Administrator will work with industry experts and internal stakeholder to help identify, develop and implement the initial stages of a disaster recovery program.  The consultant will follow the steps outlined in the methodology and introduce the Disaster Recovery Management program to key stakeholders, identify any stumbling blocks, determine high level budget & resourcing requirements and conduct a high level review of the current situation.  They will report back to the Project Authority throughout the engagement.
To start, this includes tasks in order to obtain executive sponsorship and funding, and identifying the DRM manager and team members. During this phase, the consultant will also determine what structure or standards may need to be adhered to when developing recovery strategies and plans. 
Project Tasks
 
Responsibilities could include but are not limited to:
  • Assist project management and data processing professionals, technical users and end users in simple routine tasks.
  • Provide administrative and technical support of a clerical nature as required to projects.
  • Assist in performing such tasks as maintaining project documentation and application/system libraries.
  • Acts as the first point of contact in a "hot-line" situation by accepting incoming calls, logging calls, attempting to resolve simple problems and following established procedures for more difficult problems.
  • Tracks project change requests.
  • Maintain and updates relevant project information in manual and/or electronic files; project information might include such things as project activity schedule, status reports, correspondence.
  • Use computer tools, aids, system control languages on PCs, minis, or mainframes to perform work.
  • Communicates with project management and data processing professionals, technical users and end users on administrative matters related to the project.
  • Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology.
  • Conducts risk management analysis and creates business continuity, contingency, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Develops and executes the testing processes utilized to validate the disaster recovery plans and to identify weaknesses and failure points in the plans.
  • Develops the organization's resumption plan including identifying and securing necessary off site resources and ensuring action plans are in place and communicated to IT and operations teams.
