Position Summary Description
 
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requires a Technical Analyst (TA) to collaborate with CRA staff to research, analyze, develop test and support new solutions on the CRA Standard eBCI platform in support of enhanced international data exchange with other tax authorities, and other tax evasion initiatives.
 
Project Tasks
 
Requirements / experience (mandatories)
A - Successful completion of a post-secondary, University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, from a recognized academic institution;
And
B - A minimum of seven (7) years professional work experience within the IT field of which four (4) years has been as a technical analyst.
OR
A minimum of ten (10) years professional work experience within the IT field of which a minimum six (6) years is experience as a technical analyst.

  • Experience in one or more system development initiatives, including all major phases of development participated in:            1. planning, 2. analysis, 3. design, 4. development/maintenace,   5. testing.
 
  • Experience conducting impact analysis, research, analysis, problem solving and providing recommendations and solutions for business problems and needs
  • work experience is related to Java SE and/or Java EE
  • work experience involved a high degree of complexity (i.e. involved large changes to an existing system or development of a new system, or complex logic)
  • Experience working with the business team and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
  • Experience accessing data from relational databases (IBM DB2 preferred)
  • Knowledge of common design patterns used in Java
  • Knowledge of types of testing
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Java Beans
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts
  • Knowledge of XML, and XML parsing using DOM and SAX based parsers
  • Knowledge about Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) API and PKI infrastructure
