Position Summary Description
 
The purpose of the work is to assist as required with building Web and/or client server applications or modify applications, newly assigned/inherited by CCG-IT based on specific application requirements using (but not limited to) the following common platforms.
 
Technical Element 
TBS CLF 3.0
MS Windows 7.x workstation Operating System
ASP.NET and/or HTML  using IE 5+
C# .NET
Oracle 9+
PL/SQL for Oracle 9+
MS Access database
Cognos 8+ Query/Reporting Studio
MS IIS with Classic ASP and ODBC
Automated data synchronization between distributed remote environments with limited connectivity to National or Central Oracle repository

Project Tasks
 
Requirements / experience (mandatories)
  •  must provide at least five (5) projects with developing Web applications for either a Federal Government Department, Agencies or Crown Corporations USING Treasury Boards’ CFL Guidelines.
  • have a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past fifteen (15) years developing web solutions/systems using standard SDLC in each the following areas:
  1. MS Windows 7 workstation Operating System
  2. C# .NET
  3. Oracle 9+
  4. PL/SQL for Oracle 9+
  5. JavaScript
  6. HTML using IE 5+
 
 
 
 
  • must have a minimum of five (5) years preparing and submitting SDLC documents.  These documents include, but  are not exclusive to, requirements/target requirements  documents, high level design, detailed design, test scripts, and in-service transition (ie: operational support and/or technical support guides).
  • must be fluent in English at the advanced level
 
Assets(rated requirements)
 
  • has project experience delivering the developing web solutions/systems using Cognos 8+ Query/Report Studio.
  • has at least 36 months or more of project experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) for constructing, and documenting the artifacts of software systems.
  • has 2 or more project experiences in developing solutions, in each of the following:
  1. MS Access database
  • with Classic ASP and ODBC
  1. SQLServer 2008+
 
  • has project experience working in an iterative SDLC  ie. Agile
  • has project experience transferring knowledge and support to technical staff (for on-going support).
  • has 2 or more project experiences in developing solutions  using Treasury Board Secretariat’s  CLF 3.0 standard.
