Currently seeking a Senior Business Process Consultant
Contract: Through March 31, 2019 with a possible 1 year extension
Position Summary Description
Department of National Defence’s (DND) Assistant Deputy Minister Infrastructure and Environment (ADM(IE)) has a requirement for Business Process Consultant services with demonstrated expertise in business transformation in the area of business process re-engineering.
The scope of this work will include reviewing ADM(IE)’s current processes and identifying areas for improvement. The resources will be required to map out current state processes, identify the gaps, build plans to address these gaps and develop the future state processes. This will aid the organization in streamlining its processes so it can operate more effectively and efficiently. This work will support the scope of the process stream initiatives of transformation.
Project Tasks
Requirements / experience (mandatories)
  • ten (10) years of experience within the last fifteen (15) years providing Business Process Reengineering (BPR) services.
  • ten (10) years of experience within the last fifteen (15) years identifying and defining new requirements and opportunities to better streamline and improve business processes.
  • experience applying Lean practices.
  • has a University Degree or a College or CEGEP Diploma/Certificate from a recognized* Canadian Academic Institution (or the equivalent as established by a recognized* Canadian academic credentials assessment service, if obtained outside Canada).
  • Meet criteria that defines Business Process Consultant as per TSPS
  • Hold a valid Reliability clearance
Assets (rated requirements):
  • has experience facilitating business process workshops
  • has experience reviewing business processes and organizational structures. 
  • has experience analyzing functional business requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows.
  • has experience developing “as-is” and “to-be” processes, and documenting workflows
  • has experience analyzing and recommending new processes and organizational structures.
  • has a relevant professional designation.
