Position Summary Description
The Office of the Chief Information Officer Branch (CIOB) of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) requires the services of one (1) Technology Architect to assist with the design, development, configuration and deployment of an enterprise platform and application components, based on Oracle Middleware, SOA, JAVA, and XML to facilitate the efficient, effective and Agile development of interoperable digital capabilities for the Government of Canada (GC).
Project Tasks
Requirements / experience (mandatories)
  • Secret level security clearance
  • minimum of ten (10) years of experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, as a Technology Architect.
  • must demonstrate a minimum of seven (7) years of experience, within the past ten (10) years, as a Platform Architect.
  • must demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years of experience, within the last five (5) years, in working in a DevOps environment.
  • must show proof of a valid Oracle SOA/BPM certification
Assets (rated requirements):
  • demonstrate experience as a lead Platform Architect on PeopleSoft-SAP integration projects using SOA as a main approach.

·demonstrate experience in architecting and developing automated build and deployment frameworks using three (3) or more of the following technologies:

  1. ANT
  2. MAVEN
  4. GIT
  7. Bamboo
  8. WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST)
  • demonstrate experience in monitoring middleware environments using Enterprise Monitoring tools
  • demonstrate experience installing, configuring and administering each of the following:
  1. Oracle SOA Suite
  2. Oracle OSB
  3. Oracle BAM
  4. JMS Queues
  • demonstrate experience installing, configuring and administering Atlassian products, JIRA and Confluence
  • experience in participating in projects that use the Agile Scrum development methodology.
  • should have obtained a SCRUM certification within the last five (5) years.
